The Provincial Administration of Salerno has always promoted and accompanied with convincement sport activities and whatever aims to solidarity and social aggregation.

The 3rd World tennis Championship ITFR - International Tennis Fellowship of Rotarians- represents the synthesis of these values, showing sensibility towards those who are less fortunate in their lives.

Rotary Club of Salerno contributes with this event to the promotion of  sport challenges, with its social and instructive functions, and last, but not least, to impartiality in competitions and to the cooperation among sport institutions.

The Province considers Sport as a gymnasium of values as well as a show-case of the value and of the quality of our land, the Salerno province, rich in precious resources and unending cultural deposits.

To pursue this aim the Provincial Administration, of which I am president, has elaborated an articulated strategy of intervention in order to promote and exploit its resources, giving sport the importance it deserves in the context of the  development dynamics taking place in the area.
